I realized we have this extensive blog but no explanation of who we are and why we’re here. So, in a nutshell -

We are Kit (Daddy) & Heidi (Mommy) then Christopher (6.5), Moira (5), Bennett (3.5), Emiline (2 years) and Joseph (new addition.)

We started this blog when Bennett was in the NICU - he was born at 23 weeks gestation, so he was just over half baked. This was a way for us to update family and friends during Bennett’s critical stage without having to make a LOT of phone calls or send out email updates. That was several years ago (March 2005) but we kept up the blog because it’s a GREAT way to journal the adventures of our kids and keep everyone updated on our life - now that’s it’s thankfully MUCH less exciting than our NICU days. Plus we have very cute kids and they say funny things.

People come across us for various reasons - often because of our unusual micro-preemie story (with Bennett.) Other reasons people have stumbled across us are homeschooling, apraxia/dyspraxia (Moira’s condition), VBAC (Emy’s vaginal birth after c-section) and our out of hospital birth (Emy again, at Inanna birth center.)
