Our neighbor is out of school for the summer – she’s Christopher’s age but plays really well with all the kids. For spring break the kids were playing with her almost daily, and she’s the kind of child that you want to borrow because your own children run off to play with her and you can get SO MUCH DONE while they are happily playing. She’s such a sweetheart.

Anyway, since we do lessons year round we explained to the kids that they may play with our neighbor but only after they get their lessons done for the day.

I think it was just after 8am, I was still laying on the couch trying to work myself up to get exercise. My eyes aren’t even open all the way and Christopher and Moira stand over me and say, “MOM, can we do our lessons now??”

I’m thinking this summer is going to go pretty well. I’m thankful for the motivation of a good friend. 🙂
