So this little one here turns FIVE this year, two days before the kindergarden cut off. She would surely be the youngest (and littlest) in her class (and probably the most opinionated and expressive) if we were to enroll her. As it is she’ll continue to plot world domination with her siblings and I’ll try to come up with some fun academically oriented things to keep her occupied because I’m not yet ready to tackle lessons with four kids… she’s enjoying her binder-o-worksheets and she’s engaged with our PE, homeschool co-op, swimming, science, literature, history, art & music lessons. Okay, so she’s getting a lot of lessons already, but I’m just not ready yet to add formal mathematics & language into her rotation. Maybe I’ll feel like it next year? We’ll see. Something else to love about homeschool – we start when the child is ready*, not when the calendar says to start.
*And by the child being ready we mean when Mom feels ready to add another child into the lesson schedule, let’s be honest. 🙂
